nice to meet you!

My name is Mathilde, and I’m a children’s book illustrator from a small town in south Rogaland, Norway.

I am a passionate visual storyteller, with a background in both illustration and graphic design. I gradutaed in 2023 with a BA in Visual Communication design from the University of Bergen.

My work is drawn digitally, combined with traditional materials like pencil, gouache, watercolour and ink. I’m often inspired by architecture, antiques, the seasons, nature and small interactions between people. I love classical fiction, autumn, baking, knitting and books in general.
